Majorem is well connected with regulators senior officers of large banks
Ad Majorem.....
At the funeral wake of former classmate in college, I was amazed at the line up of bankers and and BSP officials who went to offer their sympathies to the widow of the late classmate: a lawyer from Samar, a college scholar and a bar topnotcher. Well, the widow, the wife is a Senior Vice President of PDIC and naturally the BSP officials were there: the Governor, the deputy governor, the head of Loans and Discount (all were batchmates or acquaintances/friends at AdeMU. The deputy governor and the heads of the loans and discount were colleagues at Guidon (renamed Pandayan) The deputy governor like now a congressman were KO from Ateneo for misbehavior and misconduct (for being activitists. I was fortunate enough not to have been included)
The guests were also senior officers of the bank. I recognized the EVP of Metrobank. The other night, I heard, the President of BPI, Mr. Montinola III was there.
