Is starting a business a monopoly of the young?

The Economist doesn't think so, and they've got the numbers to back it up.

In a study of over 500 American high-tech firms "there were twice as many successful founders over 50 as under 25, and twice as many over 60 as under 20."

I'm telling you this because people over 55 are starting businesses like never before, and if there's anyone who knows how to build a business it's my friend Craig Ballantyne, editor of Early to Rise.

No matter if you belong to the great boomer generation or not, there's never been a better time to start your own business and take control over your income.
