Intellectual Property: Patents, Trademarks, Servicemarks and Copyright
Not every successful business is built around an original idea, and not every good idea ends up with a business built around it. But when you do have an innovative idea, patents, trademarks, servicemarks and copyright protect your idea and give you time to develop it into a business.

From Amanda McCormick, your Guide to Entrepreneurs
Have you ever heard of Kanban? It was new to me when I was introduced to it in a startup environment a couple of years ago. Every day, software developers would huddle next to a whiteboard, moving index cards from "development" to "testing" to "deployment." What I learned when I asked is that Kanban is a system of "just in time" production that was pioneered by the Japanese automaker Toyota decades ago. It's now used by a number of entrepreneurs to help them stay flexible and profitable in the face of changing market conditions. Read on to learn more!

About

From Amanda McCormick, your Guide to Entrepreneurs
Women shouldn't be the only ones who have fun shopping online, Dollar Shave Club CEO Michael Dubin told Wired magazine late in 2012. Yet in the realm of ecommerce, male consumers have traditionally been hard for marketers to pin down. They usually leave razor blade and underwear purchases to wives or girlfriends, as the conventional wisdom goes. The success of upstart companies like Dollar Shave Club and Flint and Tinder in this niche market have something to teach any entrepreneur about acquiring customers. Read on to find out more.

Customer Acquisition Lessons From Men's Underwear and Razor
The latest video from quirky razor blade company Dollar Shave Club has been the talk of the Internet last week. If you haven't seen it, take a look (it's already racked up almost a million views as I'm writing this post). Read more
